Our story
Zimbabwe's only locally-owned stone bathroom-ware maker
MorphicRox was built on a simple conviction: Zimbabwe should not have to import the fixtures that define a modern home.
Across sub-Saharan Africa — outside South Africa and Egypt — there was no local manufacturer of stone-composite bathroom fixtures. Developers, hardware stores and homeowners were locked into slow, expensive imports they couldn't customise.
In 2022, four founders set out to change that. They built the moulds, refined the crushed-stone composite, and proved that a freestanding bathtub finished to luxury standards could be cast in Marondera as easily as in Mannheim. From a single product line, MorphicRox has grown into a full range trusted by retailers and developers across Marondera, Chitungwiza, Gweru and Harare.
Production happens entirely in-house — right down to the moulds — using crushed stone sourced 75% within Zimbabwe and the region. Raw Zimbabwean stone in, world-class finished products out. The company is also pursuing certification with the Standards Association of Zimbabwe (SAZ).
